Andhra Pradesh Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (APIIC) Chairperson and Nagari MLA RK Roja on Tuesday lashed out at former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for “politicising” the flood situation in the State.
Speaking to the media here, Ms. Roja rejected Mr. Naidu’s allegation that the YSR Congress Party government had failed to go to the rescue of the affected people. “If Mr. Naidu continues to level baseless allegations against the government, he will be left with just two MLAs,” she said.
Referring to the notices issued to the residents and owners of the buildings on the Krishna river bank during the flood, Ms. Roja said the Irrigation Department had cautioned all those living in vulnerable areas keeping their safety in mind.
“It is in the interest of the public that the official machinery utilised the drones. The claim of the TDP leaders that it amounted to a threat to the life of Mr. Naidu is ridiculous,” she said.
Earlier, Ms. Roja met district Collector Narayana Bharat Gupta and submitted a memorandum to him regarding local issues pertaining to her constituency.
