Reacting to the violence in the roadshow of the BJP national president, Amit Shah, in West Bengal, BJP Delhi president Manoj Tiwari said this was an attack on democracy. He said there should be no place for violence in democracy. The people  will give a befitting reply by their ballot to the bullets of violence.
Mamta Banerjee is furious because she is losing her support base and trying to use violence to save that support. There is a wave of confidence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the country and the Trinamool Congress workers are failing to understand how they should protect their existence in Bengal, Tiwari said. Mamta is the pioneer of negative politics but the people of Bengal have made up their mind for a change, he said.
