Meghalaya Govt. to notify land acquisition for Umshyrpi-Tamabil road project soon

The Meghalaya Government will soon notify the land acquisition for the road project from Umshyrpi upto Tamabil, which has been funded by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
“The Social Impact Assessment (SIA) recently had submitted the report to the Revenue department for the land acquisition of this important project. We will soon notify to initiate the process of the land acquisition,” Deputy Chief Minister, Prestone Tynsong informed recently.
According to Tynsong, the 95km road project funded by JICA is being taken up at a cost of Rs 1,377.5 crore, including the land acquisition.
