Suspecting the role of a few ‘errant corporate colleges’ behind the glaring goof-ups by a private software firm in processing the data related to Intermediate exam results, the Congress Legislature Party leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka has sought a CBI probe to dig deeper into the IPE-2019 results fiasco.
Addressing a dharna organised by the District Congress Committee and NSUI here on Thursday, he alleged that the crucial task of processing the exam results data was entrusted to a private software firm without the requisite technical expertise.
This was done apparently at the behest of some influential persons to benefit a few corporate colleges, he charged.
This has proved costly for thousands of students putting their academic careers at stake, he rued, alleging that more than 20 distressed students ended their lives after declaration of the “botched results” by the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education on April 18.
A deeper probe into the whole fiasco is imperative to bring all those responsible for causing untold mental agony to thousands of students and parents all over the State to book, he said. He slammed the TRS government for allegedly failing to take action against the errant officials and the software firm so far.
