The Gujarat High Court on Wednesday directed the state government to furnish information regarding the procedure adopted for admissions under the Right to Education (RTE) Act.
Government pleader Manisha Shah made oral submissions before the high court on behalf of the government.
The high court was informed that about 1.17 lakh seats have been made available under RTE in the state for the coming academic session. The government said it had received close to two lakh application forms, while receiving centres had received about 1.50 lakh forms.
