Political parties condemn Sri Lanka bomb blasts

Leaders from across the political spectrum condemned the explosions in various places across Sri Lanka that killed at least 200 people on Sunday. Condemning the attacks on “areas where Tamil Christians were living in large numbers,” All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) coordinator O. Panneerselvam and co-coordinator Edappadi K. Palaniswami said those behind the incidents were merciless to have attacked those worshipping. “We condemn the inhuman and merciless attacks,” they added in a joint statement.
DMK president M.K. Stalin said the attacks broke his heart. “Be it communal or religious fundamentalist elements, they should be identified and action should be taken against them,” he tweeted.
