Jagan asks Governor to restore law and order in AP

The YSR Congress Party has expressed concern over the “deteriorating” law and order situation in Andhra Pradesh since commencement of the election process and sought the intervention of Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan in ensuring better administration.
The party requested the Governor to restrain Telugu Desam Party president and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu from issuing cheques to his close confidants in the name of completion of work. Instructions should be issued to the Chief Secretary to ensure that there is no misuse of public money during the transition period. YSRCP president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy called on the Governor at Raj Bhavan here on Tuesday and briefed him about the situation in AP, which he said, was turning from bad to worse. Senior police officials were under “tremendous pressure” from the Chief Minister who was instructing them to target the YSR Congress leaders and cadre.
