NEET will be scrapped in T.N. if people don’t want it: Rahul

Recalling the death of Anitha, a young medical aspirant from Ariyalur district who failed to get admission due to her poor score in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test, Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Friday said his party would give due consideration to people’s opinion on issues such as NEET.
Addressing meetings in Theni and Madurai in support of the Lok Sabha candidates fielded by the DMK-Congress front, he said the Congress would listen to the people prior to making any decision and would not behave in an “autocratic manner” like Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Congress and its allies would be responsible and scrap programmes such as NEET if the people of Tamil Nadu did not want them, he said.
