Vote out BJD, bring BJP in Odisha: Shah

BJP national president Amit Shah, addressing an election rally at Keonjhar on Friday, urged voters to dethrone the BJD Government and bring a BJP Government in the State to see Odisha emerge as No. 1 State in five years’ time.
“Elect Narendra Modi again and vote out the Naveen Patnaik Government to see Odisha become number one State,” Shah said.
Shah lambasted the BJD for youths of Odisha going outside in search of work despite the party remaining in power for 19 long years.
Alleging that corruption has touched the pinnacle in the State, he said people close to the Chief Minister are verycorrupt.
Claiming that the Keonjhar medical college is being constructed out of Rs 1,600-crore DMF provided by the Centre, Shah promised that another medical college would be established in Keonjhar if the BJP is voted to power.
He too promised that the GST would be lifted from kendu leafs and minimum support prices (MSPs) would be raised for all forestproducts.
The BJP Government would distribute land rights (pattas) to all tribals under the Forest Right Act within 5 years, he said.
Besides, Shah charged the Congress of indulging in corruption and halting development in the country during the last 70 years.
