"We know what they are reading", Rahul Gandhi taunts Centre over Phone Hacking Case

  • Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has targeted the central govt for spying through the Israeli software Pegasus and hacking of phones of opposition leaders, media persons and other big personalities.
  • Rahul Gandhi tweeted, "We know what he's reading - everything on your phone." He also added a three-day-old tweet to this, in which he had asked that 'what are you guys reading?'
  • Letting you know, The Wire has also been involved in this investigation, in which a certified list of mobile phone numbers of more than 300 Indians has been found.
  • It also includes the names of all the ministers, opposition leaders and journalists of all big media organizations including Hindustan Times, Indian Express.
  • This phone hacking was allegedly done through the Israeli spyware Pegasus. The Israeli company NSO said that it gives this software only to the tested governments.
