'Govt should tell whether spyware was used or not': Asaduddin Owaisi questions the govt

  • The opposition does not seem to be satisfied with the govt's cleanliness in the matter of hacking the phones of Indian leaders, journalists and businessmen.
  • AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi has asked sharp questions to the govt in this matter before the monsoon session of Parliament today.
  • Owaisi tweeted, "The use of Pegasus (#Pegasus) spyware for phone hacking is hacking, not "authorized interception" or tapping."
  • He added, "Hacking is a crime, whether it is not committed by any person or by the government."
  • "The govt has to state two things. The first is whether it has used NSO spyware or not 2. Did you include the names mentioned in the news reports or not", he said.
