
Jagannath Yatra being taken out in Puri and Ahmedabad amid Covid 19 pandemic
- Amidst the shadow of Corona, the world-famous Lord Jagannath's Rath Yatra is being taken out in Puri and Ahmedabad.
- However, due to Corona in Puri, no devotee is allowed to participate in the yatra. Section 144 is in force around the temple to stop the crowd.
- The Jagannath Temple Authority in Puri has asked devotees to light diyas, as no gatherings are allowed during the Rath Yatra.
- Krishna Chandra Khuntia, President of Puri Jagannath Temple, Khuntia Niyoga said that people have been asked to light lamps in their homes. Everyone will be able to watch Rath Yatra on TV sitting at home.
- Talking about Ahmedabad, Jagannath Yatra was started in the morning, although curfew is imposed from where the Rath Yatra originated. CM Vijay Rupani sweeps the route of Rath Yatra.
