Bihar minister upset due to dictatorial attitude of bureaucrats threatened to resign
- Bihar's Social Welfare Minister Madan Sahni on Thursday threatened to resign in protest against the arbitrariness of the bureaucrats in his department.
- Sahni alleged that he was aggrieved by the ban on transfers and postings of the officials concerned, which he had approved in his capacity as a cabinet member.
- He asked, "If officers dare to do so, then what is the point of me being in the chair? I don't want to be a minister just to enjoy certain facilities."
- Interestingly, when asked whether he has shared his grievances with the CM, Sahni replied, "Why should I do this? He must think that I am resorting to blackmail."
- Let us tell you that Sahni is known as a reliable aide of Nitish Kumar. He was inducted into the cabinet in February this year despite losing his Bahadurpur assembly seat in Darbhanga district in last year's elections.
