
Breaking records, India marks over 2 lakh COVID 19 cases in 24 hours
- The COVID 29 wave in the country has broken all the records so far. With 2,00,739 new cases being reported in the last 24 hours, taking the number of infected to 1,40,74,564.
- According to the Union Health Ministry, 1026 people died during this period, raising the death toll to 1,73,123.
- With the new cases, the number of active cases in India has been 14,71,877, so far. A total of 1,24,29,564 people have recovered from the infection.
- Of the total 1,026 deaths during the last 24 hours, 281 were from Maharashtra, 156 from Chhattisgarh, 61 from Karnataka, 85 from Uttar Pradesh, and 81 from Delhi.
- The recovery rate of Covid 19 patients has been continuously falling as compared to the positive cases for the last few days.
