Karnataka: RTI bus employees strike for the implementation of 6th Pay Commission, services hit

  • A massive strike has been going in Karnataka. The bus services were hit today for the third consecutive day.
  • The RTC bus employees have been striking for their demand to implement the Sixth Pay Commission report, which the govt has denied.
  • Letting you know, the Sixth Central Pay Commission will not only evolve a proper pay package for the govt employees but will make recommendations rationalizing the governmental structure to improve the delivery mechanisms for providing better services to the common man.
  • The employees belonging to all the four transport corporations did not attend duty due to which the buses remained off the roads across the state.
  • After threats from ESMA and 'no work no pay', some of the employees returned to work and buses are operating on some routes.
