No Data Available on Job Losses and Death Among Migrants: Center

On Monday, the center in the Parliament said that there is no data available on the deaths & job losses among migrant workers because of the lockdown.
The Labour Ministry said the government has not maintained a state-wise break-up of distribution of free ration to migrant workers.
Replying to the question on whether thousands of migrant laborers have died during COVID lockdown, the center said there is "no such data is available."
Talking about its free ration distribution scheme during the lockdown, the government said, "State-wise details are not available.
While Union Health minister informed that the lockdown has prevented up to 29 lakh additional coronavirus cases in the country.
