Congress leader Rahul Gandhi expressed grief over the death of the Indian soldiers martyred in a face-off between India and China.
Gandhi tweeted, "Words cannot describe the pain I feel for the officers and men who sacrificed their lives for our country."
"My condolences to all their loved ones. We stand with you in this difficult time," he added.
A violent face-off took place between Indian and Chinese troops because China attempted to "unilaterally change" the status quo during de-escalation in Eastern Ladakh.
The Indian Army suffered 20 casualties whereas Chinese troops suffered 43 casualties.
