- Among those 5 terrorists, one was top Hizb-ul-Mujahideen commander Farooq Ahmed Bhat alias Nali.
- He was an A++ category militant and he managed to escape an encounter in Yaripora two weeks ago.
- Dilbagh Singh, DG of J&K confirmed that 5 terrorists were killed in a day-long encounter.
- The police recovered AK-47 rifles and 2 pistols from the terrorist bunker.
