Center Has Taken a Serious Note of Elephant Killing: Prakash Javadekar
Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said that the center has taken note of the killing of an elephant in Kerala and assured that the culprits will be punished.
Javadekar tweeted, "Central Government has taken a very serious note of the killing of an elephant in Mallapuram, Kerala."
"We will not leave any stone unturned to investigate properly and nab the culprit(s). This is not an Indian culture to feed firecrackers and kill," he added.
On 27th May an Elephant died after it ate a pineapple stuffed with firecrackers.
According to the forest officials, the elephant died standing in river Velliyar after it suffered an injury in its lower jaw.
