Senior Congress leader P Chidambaram criticized the AAP govt for prosecuting former JNUSU president Kanhaiya Kumar. and nine others in the 2016 JNU sedition case.
Chidambaram said that he “strongly disapproved” the decision.
“Delhi government is no less ill-informed than the central govt in its understanding of sedition law", he said.
Reacting to the move, Kanhaiya Kumar urged government officials and the police to ensure a speedy trial in a fast track court.
Let us tell you, On Friday, the AAP govt gave the nod to Delhi Police to Prosecute Kumar.
