Nirbhaya Case: Hearing Postponed, Pawan Gupta Gets a New Lawyer
- The Delhi Court adjourned the hearing of the petition filed by Nirbhaya's parent for a fresh death warrant for the 4 convicts till Monday at 2 PM.
- The court said that Article 21 of the Constitution protects the life and liberty of a condemned prisoner till his last breath.
- After hearing this Nirbhaya's mother Asha Devi said, "I am a victim’s mother, and even I have some rights. I would request you to please issue the death warrant."
- Lawyer of Nirbhaya's parents said that convicts are taking judiciary for granted as the court has postponed the date thrice.
- Even public prosecutor Irfan Ahmed demanded that a fresh death warrant should be issued.
