“violence has no space in democracy”

Naveen Patnaik condemned the attack on students and teachers.
CM took to his Twitter handle to state that “violence has no space in democracy and such attacks on students must be condemned unequivocally.”
Besides, he also appealed the law enforcement agencies to take swift action to apprehend the culprits.
Violence erupted at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) on Sunday night after masked men armed with sticks attacked students and teachers and vandalised property on the campus.
The university was earlier embroiled in a major row over alleged anti-national slogans being raised by some students in February 2016.
