Bengal is One of the Least-Corrupt States in India: Mamata Banerjee

Citing a recent survey conducted in 20 states Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee said that West Bengal has emerged as one of the least corrupt states in the country.
She tweeted, "As per the India Corruption Survey 2019, conducted by Transparency International India and Local Circles, Bengal has emerged as one of the least-corrupt States in India.
According to the 'India Corruption Survey 2019', 51% of Indians paid a bribe in the last 12 months.

As per the survey, people of Delhi, Haryana, Gujarat, WB, Kerala, and Odisha reported low instances of corruption.
While Rajasthan, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Jharkhand, and Punjab had higher occurrences of corruption.
