
Bengal is One of the Least-Corrupt States in India: Mamata Banerjee
- Citing a recent survey conducted in 20 states Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee said that West Bengal has emerged as one of the least corrupt states in the country.
- She tweeted, "As per the India Corruption Survey 2019, conducted by Transparency International India and Local Circles, Bengal has emerged as one of the least-corrupt States in India.
- According to the 'India Corruption Survey 2019', 51% of Indians paid a bribe in the last 12 months.

- As per the survey, people of Delhi, Haryana, Gujarat, WB, Kerala, and Odisha reported low instances of corruption.
- While Rajasthan, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Jharkhand, and Punjab had higher occurrences of corruption.
