Exhausted All Attempts to Reach Out to CM: Jagdeep Dhankhar
Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar said that all attempts to reach out to CM Mamata Banerjee were exhausted as there was no response from her office on his requests for dialogue.
He further said that he is still hopeful of a positive response from the CM.
Earlier Jagdeep Dhankhar blamed TMC for delaying clearance of pending bills which led to the 2-day adjournment of assembly.
He also said, "I am not at loggerheads with any government and it is actually the state government and its ministers, the speaker who is at loggerheads with me. I am at the receiving end."
Referring to the time when the assembly gates were locked he said, "It is unfortunate if a constitutional head goes to the Assembly after sending notice to the Speaker and the gate is locked. It puts democracy to shame."
