God Save the Indian Economy: Chidambaram Mocks BJP

Former finance minister P Chidambaram took a dig at the BJP over MP Nishikant Dubey's remarks that the GDP has no relevance, saying "God save India's economy".
Nishikant Dubey had said that the GDP has no relevance and it should not be treated as 'Bible, Ramayan, and Mahabharat'.
Chidambaram tweeted, "GDP numbers are irrelevant, the personal tax will be cut, import duties will be increased."

The tweet further read, "These are BJP's ideas of reforms. God save India's economy."
On Dubey's remark, Randeep Surjewala also mocked BJP and said, God, save the people from "New India's novice economists".
