God Save the Indian Economy: Chidambaram Mocks BJP
- Former finance minister P Chidambaram took a dig at the BJP over MP Nishikant Dubey's remarks that the GDP has no relevance, saying "God save India's economy".
- Nishikant Dubey had said that the GDP has no relevance and it should not be treated as 'Bible, Ramayan, and Mahabharat'.
- Chidambaram tweeted, "GDP numbers are irrelevant, the personal tax will be cut, import duties will be increased."

- The tweet further read, "These are BJP's ideas of reforms. God save India's economy."
- On Dubey's remark, Randeep Surjewala also mocked BJP and said, God, save the people from "New India's novice economists".
