Delhi Govt owes Rs 9,323 Cr of Unpaid Bills
- Delhi government owes Rs 9,323.76 crores as unpaid water bills from different agencies.
- Out of which Delhi government's departments owes 10%.
- Delhi government had announced a one-time waiver on all arrears recorded till March 2019, in the hope that it would get defaulters to pay their water bills.
- The biggest defaulter is the Northern Railways which owes Rs 4,192.55 crore i.e. 44% of the total amount owed to the Delhi government.
- The rest of the major defaulters are Delhi Police, MCDs specifically the North MCD.
