Uddhav Thackeray Orders to Withdraw Criminal Cases Against 29 Aarey activists
- CM Uddhav Thackeray directed the state home dept to withdraw the criminal cases registered against 29 citizens for protesting over the felling of trees in Aarey forest.
- The Mumbai police commissioner has been told to submit all documents related to the matter to the home dept on Monday.
- One of the officials said, “The CM has directed the administration to withdraw the cases.”

- Thackeray has also directed chief secretary Ajoy Mehta to examine all the cases and follow due process of law for withdrawing them.
- Reiterating that he is not stopping the Mumbai Metro Project, CM also ordered that this process should be completed in a time-bound period.
