248 Candidates Filed Nomination for Karnataka Bypolls

As many as 248 candidates which include 128 independent candidates are ready to contest for the 15 assembly by-elections in Karnataka.
According to a poll official, "The 248 candidates have filed 353 nominations by Nov 18 evening, which was the last date for submitting the papers."
The officials will scrutinize the nominations on Nov 19th the last date of withdrawal is November 21.

Let us tell you that Congress, BJP and JD(S) are contesting elections on all 15 seats separately.
Earlier the Election Commission officials seized cash amounting to 95 lakh rupees and 66 liters of liquor worth Rs 80,000 in direct violation of the model code of conduct.
