Former Assembly Speaker KR Ramesh Takes a 'Sign of Relief' After SC Vedict

On Wednesday, the SC upheld the decision of former Karnataka speaker KR Ramesh Kumar to disqualify the 17 rebel MLAs of JD(S)-Congress.
However, the SC allowed them to contest the December 5 by-polls in the state.
After this verdict, the former speaker KR Ramesh Kumar took a 'sign of relief.'

While talking to the media, he said that he had gone through the 10th schedule keeping in mind the political and constitutional morality.
Earlier this year 14 rebel MLAs of Congress and 3 rebel MLAs of JD(S) were disqualified under the anti-defection law by the Speaker in July.
