
Former Assembly Speaker KR Ramesh Takes a 'Sign of Relief' After SC Vedict
- On Wednesday, the SC upheld the decision of former Karnataka speaker KR Ramesh Kumar to disqualify the 17 rebel MLAs of JD(S)-Congress.
- However, the SC allowed them to contest the December 5 by-polls in the state.

- While talking to the media, he said that he had gone through the 10th schedule keeping in mind the political and constitutional morality.
- Earlier this year 14 rebel MLAs of Congress and 3 rebel MLAs of JD(S) were disqualified under the anti-defection law by the Speaker in July.
