PMO Issued Orders to State Govt to Submit Reports on Corrupt Officers

The PMO has decided that the central government departments must examine and submit corrupt officers every few months.
This decision has been taken in view of increasing corruption in the government departments and to increase trust and transparency in the system.
The PMO has also asked the departments to start an investigation into how often does corrupt officers are able to rise up the ranks.

Let us tell you that currently there is an investigation going on against 29 IAS officers, 9 group ‘A’ officers, 1,815 officers from the ‘B’ and ‘C’ groups.
Apart from this 14 officers from the Railway ministry and 12 officers from Coal ministry and 6 officers from civil aviation ministry are being examined.
