Formation of BJP Govt is Against the Constitution: Siddaramaiah to President

Senior Congress leader Siddaramaiah wrote to President Ramnath Kovind seeking an appointment to notify him of the situation.
In the letter, Siddaramaiah referred to the leaked audio of Yediyurappa in which he was heard talking about the disqualified Congress-JD(S) MLAs.
Siddaramaiah said that the BJP has used illegal methods like misusing CBI, IT Dept and ED to influence and control the legislators, which is evident from CM Yediyurappa's speech.

He further wrote that the formation of BJP govt is against the mandate of the people of Karnataka and the Constitution of India.
Former CM also said that when the case of the disqualified MLAs was being heard in the court Yediyurappa government cited the resignations of 17 MLAs as the reason to return to power.
