Karnataka Govt To Remove History Chapters Glorifying Tipu Sultan From School Textbook.

The Karnataka government is set to remove the history lessons in school glorifying the Tipu Sultan.
CM BS Yediyurappa said that his government would withdraw the lessons on Tipu from school text-books.
The CM said, "We are not going to allow such things to happen. We are going to withdraw everything.”

BJP MLA Appachhu Ranjan had written to the state government seeking the removal of chapters glorifying Tipu from the school text-books.
Opposition leader Siddaramaiah said the BJP is trying to divert the attention of the people from its failure to provide relief to flood victims by raking up the Tipu issue.
