AAP Leader Asks Center to Provide 10 Trucks of Onion

  • AAP leader Imran Hussain asked the Centre to supply at least 10 trucks of onion every day.
     
  • The demand is made to help his govt provide to the increased demand of the kitchen staple at a controlled price in the capital.
     
  • In his letter to Ram Vilas Paswan, Hussain said NAFED has not been able to keep up with the growing demand.

  • He also requested the agency supply at least 10 trucks of onions every day for the next 10 days. 
     
  • Delhi govt gets onion from NAFED at the rate of Rs 15.6 per kilo and sells it through around 250 mobile vans across the city at a subsidized rate of Rs 23.9 per kg.
