Differences in Durga Pooja Committee Over Inviting Amit Shah
- There are some differences in the Pooja Committee over inviting Home Minister Amit Shah to inaugurate the Durga Puja festival on October 1.
- A dispute erupted between members of the BJ Block Durga Puja at Salt Lake when some of them claimed that they were not approached before inviting Shah.
- UJ Shankar Ghosh Dastidar, chairman of the BJ Block Puja Committee said that Shah has agreed to inaugurate the puja at 7 in the evening on Tuesday.

- He further said that for security reasons they have not disclosed the details with all the members and local people.
- Another member of the committee said that they do not want to give political color to the 3 decades old BJ Block Puja.
