Rumours in state: TRS MP D Srinivas joining BJP
- Huzurnagar assembly elections are set to be held in a couple of weeks and TRS member D Srinivas met with Amit Shah has led to speculation of him joining the BJP.
- Though D Srinivas has continued to serve as a TRS Rajya Sabha member technically, he is not being invited to party meetings and programmes.
- Interestingly, this is his second meeting with Amit Shah in the past couple of months.
- Earlier, KCR’s daughter K Kavitha and other leaders had written a letter to TRS president KCR alleging anti-party activities of Srinivas.
- But the party has not taken any decision on his expulsion to prevent him from joining another party.
