Want equal stake in govt: Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray

The Shiv Sena may be staking it claims to the Chief Minister's post after the state assembly elections due later this year. However, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis tried to play down these demands, calling them 'gaun' (irrelevant) and stressed that Sena and BJP cadre must work for an "unprecedented" victory in the polls. However, Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray hinted that the two parties had decided what had to be done after the elections.
"Aamcha tharlay (we have already decided). We will do what has to be done," said Uddhav, who spoke after Fadnavis.
"Sagla samsaman pahije (we want everything on equal terms)," Uddhav stressed, hinting that the Sena wanted an equal share in power after the assembly elections.
