The prospects of more than half a dozen rebel candidates of the major political parties seem to bother the TRS and Congress-led People’s Front no end.
With the exit polls by major national television channels hinting at TRS retaining power and former Congress MP Lagadapati Rajagopal’s report backing the People’s Front, all eyes now are on the performance of independent candidates.
A look at the contesting candidates shows that there could be a surprise element in Bellampally SC, Boath ST, Ramagundam, Ibrahimpatnam, Makthal, Bhupalpalli and Wyra ST Assembly constituencies where the independents are said to be favorites.
