“We are confident that people of Mizoram will accept NPP,” says Meghalaya CM

National President of National People’s Party and Meghalaya Chief Minister, Conrad K. Sangma today officially announced the launch of NPP Mizoram Unit at a programme held at Aizawl Club. “Proud moment for us as we embark on a new journey in Mizoram,” said the Meghalaya CM adding that the NPP has a commitment for the people of Northeast and “we are confident that people of Mizoram will accept us and give us an opportunity to champion their cause and concerns.” 
The launch was also attended by Meghalaya Home Minister James K. Sangma, Meghalaya deputy Speaker Timothy D. Shira, Chief Advisor to Meghalaya Chief Minister Thomas A. Sangma, Manipur Sports Minister Letpao Haokip and a host of other NPP legislators and leaders from the Northeastern States.
The chief minister said that NPP is embarking on a mission to rebuild Mizoram and restore the identity of the people of the region and make the voice and concerns of the people heard at the corridor of power.
