Senior Congress leader and former Union Minister S. Jaipal Reddy has charged Prime Minister Narendra Modi of ‘cheating’ the nation on Rafale deal with France and said he personally negotiated it ignoring the then Defence Minister Manohar Parikker. At a press conference here, he claimed that for the first time in the history a country has condemned a defence deal of another country thus exposing the ill intentions behind it.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is silent on it despite pressure from the Congress and the Parliament to answer as he is aware of the shady part of the dealing, he said.
