Dr. Monika Malik was appointed as Associate Professor in December 2019 through a duly constituted selection committee that included six members from reputed universities such as Punjab University, Kurukshetra University, and Delhi University. However, in May 2025, following a petition filed by Law Department Dean Dr. Pradeep Singh, CUH terminated her services, alleging irregularities in the selection process and conflict of interest due to her husband, Dr. Rajesh Malik, being a faculty member. But official records show he had already recused himself from the selection committee.
