ABVP के साथ झगड़ा, फिर गायब और अब केस बंद, कहा है JNU स्टूडेंट नजीब? | Geetanjali
On October 15, 2016, Najeeb Ahmad, a first-year MSc Biotechnology student at India’s prestigious Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), mysteriously vanished from his hostel room — and has not been found since. Najeeb had been allotted Room 106 in the Mahi-Mandavi hostel. Just a night before, on October 14, he was involved in a violent altercation with members linked to the student group ABVP. The next morning, Najeeb called his mother, Fatima Nafees, saying, “Something wrong has happened with me.” His family rushed from Badaun to Delhi, but by the time they arrived, Najeeb was gone — and for the past 9 years, no trace has been found. Despite investigations by the Delhi Police, the Crime Branch, and later the CBI, and after questioning over 560 witnesses, using Interpol, and announcing a ₹10 lakh reward, the trail went cold. In 2018, the CBI filed a closure report, citing no concrete leads. Najeeb’s family opposed it, demanding justice and a thorough probe. Finally, on 30 June 2024, a Delhi court accepted the CBI’s closure report — leaving behind unanswered questions and a shattered mother’s quest. In this video, we dive deep into this haunting case — what happened that night, why Najeeb’s disappearance remains unresolved, and what it says about justice in India.
