Only 25 percent of the 30-40,000 Agniveers will be permanently absorbed. This is a big drop from the 80,000-odd youth that joined the Army in 2019 – the last time full recruitment had taken place. That is the reason why the youth are in ferment and looking for jobs elsewhere
