- The Supreme Court has expressed displeasure over the non-payment of compensation to the families of the Covid victims.
- The top court has reprimanded many states including Maharashtra, Rajasthan, West Bengal.
- The court told the Maharashtra govt that compensation has not been paid even to a single person.
- It added, "This is ridiculous. It cannot be accepted. We are not at all happy with the affidavit filed by the Maharashtra govt."
- The court said that the govt should immediately start paying compensations to the families of victims.
