- Shah has expressed regret over the firing and said that the incident happened due to mistaken identity.
- He said that a high-level inquiry has already been ordered and all efforts are being made to maintain peace and order in the state.
- Shah stated that SIT has been constituted to probe the Nagaland incident and the investigation will be completed within a month.
