Shashi Tharoor to not host the TV show on Sansad TV in solidarity of 12 suspended MPs
- Senior Congress leader Shashi Tharoor has today said that he will not host a TV show on Sansad TV.
- This came in solidarity with the 12 Rajya Sabha MPs who were suspended from the Parliament for the whole winter session.
- Shashi Tharoor has said that he will not host the show until the suspension of the legislators is revoked.
- He said, "I believed that my accepting Sansad TV's invitation to host a show was in the best traditions of India's parliamentary democracy."
- His statement comes a day after Shiv Sena MP Priyanka Chaturvedi has stepped down as the anchor of the Sansad TV's show "Meri Kahaani".
