- A horrifying incident has been recorded from Nagaland's Mon district where the security forces killed 13 civilians in an 'ambush'.
- According to the sources, the personnel, including para commandos, mistook victims as militants and attacked them.
- The incident took place on Saturday when the victims (daily wagers) were returning home from a coal mine in a pick-up truck.
- Nagaland CM Neiphiu Rio has tweeted, "The unfortunate incident leading to the killing of civilians at Oting, Mon is highly condemnable."
- "Condolences to the bereaved families & speedy recovery of those injured. High-level SIT will investigate & justice delivered as per the law of the land", he added.
