
SC reprimands Centre and Delhi govt over opening schools amid rising pollution
- Delhi air pollution has increased despite claims by the govt. The Supreme Court has expressed dissatisfaction.
- The court said, "We feel that nothing is happening and pollution keeps increasing."
- The top court has said to the Delhi govt, "We are serious about industrial and vehicular pollution."
- It asked, "You cannot fire bullets from our shoulders, you have to take steps. Why are schools open?"
- SC told the Centre and Delhi govt that if they fail to do take measures to control pollution, then the court will pass an order.
