
'Constitution is not being respected'- Congress gives reason over boycotting the event in Parliament
- On the occasion of Constitution Day, the Congress leaders boycotted the event organised in the Parliament.
- Congress spokesperson Anand Sharma said that the party did so to remind the country that Constitution is not being respected.
- Sharma said that the protest was against the "authoritarian" functioning of the BJP government.
- He added that the laws are enacted bypassing parliamentary scrutiny and parliamentary democracy is insulted.
