Shakti Mills gang-rape- Bombay HC turns death penalty of the 3 accused to life imprisonment

  • The Bombay High Court has stayed the death sentence of the three accused in the 2013 Shakti Mills gang-rape case.
  • The Court has turned the death sentence into life imprisonment. The order is for both the cases which involved the photographer journalist case and the phone operator case.
  • Letting you know, the trial of both the cases was held together in which the 3 accused, Kasim Bengali, Mohammad Salim Ansari and Vijay Mohan Jadhav were sentenced to death.
  • The decision was given by the Sessions Court, in which one was sentenced to life imprisonment and the minor was a dent to the Juvenile Justice Home.
  • The Bombay High Court gave this decision on the appeal on the death sentence of the three convicts.
