
Oil Ministry's proposal to privatise ONGCs biggest oil and gas faces resistance by the union
- The petroleum ministry had proposed to give away ONGC's biggest oil and gas fields to foreign companies.
- Now, the officers union has strongly opposed this proposal, saying that the govt should instead empower.
- The union said that the govt should give the company a level-playing field rather than giving away its prime assets to the private sector on a platter.
- The Association of Scientific & Technical Offices of ONGC petitioned Oil Minister Hardeep Singh Puri is against a proposal put by Amar Nath.
